This is a critical function to support HPCCloud use cases, but it isn't strictly apart of the celery refactor as old-style tasks etc don't support multiple tasks
This appears to still be relevant (i.e. you can't use private repo's with the modern docker_run approach). But the initial description contains links to code that are no longer relevant.
@cjh1 does this issue continue to effect the docker_run task or should this issue be marked as legacy?
I don't believe there are any hooks between before_task_publish and when kombu puts the message on the queue. I know it is possible/relatively easy to configure a custom kombu producer...
