It seems like on Linux, Kotatogram 1.4.9-beta doesn't consider arguments at all

  • Kotatogram https://t.me/+...*
  • Kotatogram tg://join?invite=...
  • Kotatogram tg://settings/kotato

none of these opens Kotatogram in any specific way, it just shows "Select a chat to start".

Could this be documented in some easily accessible place? Or in some Kotatogram --help ?

TDesktop has this page: https://github.com/telegramdesktop/tdesktop/wiki/Command-Line-Switches

Is there any real need to? This isn't something the end user has to know, the code automatically installs the handler
