Could you add such option, please? I’d like to see the counter for muted chats but not for archived ones.

It's already present in TDesktop. Just uncheck "Include muted chats in unread count" in Settings > Notifications > Badge counter.

+1 for that, I would definitely move to Kotato without a second thought if that was supported. There are also people requesting this on tdesktop as well: Exclude archived chats from badge counter
