becomeFirstResponder takes a long time

There is a significant delay between a user initiating the edit on the label and the math keyboard appearing, resulting in a poor user experience.

I am wondering if you have any plans to address this. If not, any pointers for how it could be fixed would be appreciated.

We had this issue as well. I believe this only happens the first time the keyboard is loaded. I think the delay is from the nib files and the resources from the keyboard being loaded. I wasn't able to make much headway with this.

Try profiling the app and see if the loading could be optimized.

Hi @kostub & Team: I used another view for keyboard.. but default system keyboard also appearing with it..any solutions? self.mathLabel.keyboard = KeyboardView as? UIView & MTMathKeyboard
