Unfortunately, I don't have the tooling to build executables either. How did you build yours?

What IAR version do I need to download? Do I need the ARM version or does the STM8 version work? (I know STM32 is based on ARM)

I do not know if newer versions of IAR will work. I remember there would have been some work to do in the assembler part ...
