there are a few issues and PRs, which would make a great new release :smile:

Any chance for a new release soon? Any help needed?

No progress or updates unfortunately. I am somewhat busy. If people would like to help out, a PR with a GitHub action workflow that can be used to publish a release to pypi when tagging a release in GitHub would be helpful. There is guidance here: https://packaging.python.org/en/latest/guides/publishing-package-distribution-releases-using-github-actions-ci-cd-workflows.html
