Hi guys,

if I use the command homebridge-playstation-login, the terminal in the HomeBridge UI gives back"Did not authenticate to any consoles.". What am I doing wrong?

Make sure that your PS5 is in the same network and turned on.

I indeed had de PS5 in a different network. Sorry about that and thank you.

I am having this exact issue. I have been trying for months to get this to work. here is whats happening: ########

Authenticate to PS4-874? (y/n) y Connecting to <BC60A70CDE34>... No credentials for PS4-874 and unable to request (need root permissions). Attempting to request root permissions now (we will relinquish them as soon as possible)...

We trust you have received the usual lecture from the local System Administrator. It usually boils down to these three things:

#1) Respect the privacy of others.
#2) Think before you type.
#3) With great power comes great responsibility.

[sudo] password for homebridge: Sorry, try again.

#########

this doesnt make any sense!

Any solutions here? I have the same problem. My playstation 5 and the homebridge are in the same network.

  • Node.js v16.18.0
  • npm v8.19.2
  • Ubuntu 20.04.5 LTS on a proxmox lxc

Negative Batman. I gave up on this again. I figure somewhere in the near future this junk will either be fixed, or there will be a better solution available. I can wait. As of right now my ps4 gets turned off by my receiver anyway. I have an Aqara IR blaster, and a harmony remote. If I REALLY wanted to I could automate it through that. But it’s really just not worth the hassle. The tv and ps4 and Apple TV and receiver all turn off and on and auto switch inputs just perfectly with just the click of a button. I can live with that for a while. Lol On Oct 25, 2022, at 3:24 PM, marius17si @.***> wrote: Any solutions here? I have the same problem. My playstation 5 and the homebridge are in the same network.

Same issue here, it worked once but Playstation was not responsive. So I tried to delete everything and reconfigure and now getting this no devices error even though PS5 is on the same network and powered on.
