Brief Introduction

Source of TTS Voice to download for offline usages

Details

Koodo got added lots of new voices. But I noticed, that I need Internet to use them. Some voices are really comfy. It would be awesome, if Koodo allowed locale/offline voices, so we could add even custom TTS voices. Plus, would it be possible to make the already existing TTS voices (not the Microsoft ones) downloadable, for offline use in Koodo, without Internet? (And sorry if there is already such a feature request. My language skills are limited to English on this page.)

And a small side-info: Yandex seems to block some Email-Providers (for example protonmail), so bug reports from blocked email-providers are not possible. The Emails never reach your support Email. I found a few very annoying bugs, but no way to report them since my Emails won't go through because of email-provider blocking/censorship. Maybe you could get even more quality feedback and bug reports, when email-providers weren't blocked.

Thanks or the awesome work on the Koodo Project!

If you're on Windows or macOS, there is already some built-in locale voice options. they're in the upper part of the voice list. image

There is not much we can do about the email provider. Yandex mail is pretty decent as a free email provider with support to domain customization.

Thanks for the reply. When referring to locale/offline TTS, I was especially talking about custom TTS. I know there are ones from Microsoft, but they are rather bad. I would like to be able to add custom TTS myself, especially if the other additional non-Microsoft ones in the list are not usable offline. Would such a feature, that made adding my own/custom TTS, be possible to add, or would it be too difficult?

As for the Email Provider: In the end, of course it is your choice which Email Provider you use. I just wanted to mention that such issues exist.
