Verify if the 4.7.1-3 workaround for file upload mimes is still required

The workaround for letting user upload certain filetypes that was required with WP core 4.7.1-3 is supposedly fixed in 4.7.4. This needs to be confirmed, and the workaround restricted to only affect those outdated WP core versions.
