Download server https://download1.graphhopper.com/ is unreachable – connection timeout

Open ap0stol opened this issue 2 weeks ago • 2 comments

The server https://download1.graphhopper.com/ is currently unreachable. Attempts to access it via curl and wget result in connection timeouts:

curl --trace - --connect-timeout 30 --max-time 60 https://download1.graphhopper.com/ == Info: Trying 168.119.136.13:443... == Info: After 29999ms connect time, move on! == Info: connect to 168.119.136.13 port 443 failed: Connection timed out == Info: Connection timeout after 30001 ms == Info: Closing connection 0 curl: (28) Connection timeout after 30001 ms

wget -d --timeout 30 https://download1.graphhopper.com/ Setting --timeout (timeout) to 30 DEBUG output created by Wget 1.21.2 on linux-gnu. Reading HSTS entries from /home/ap0stol/.wget-hsts URI encoding = ‘UTF-8’ Converted file name 'index.html' (UTF-8) -> 'index.html' (UTF-8) --2025-12-11 08:52:28-- https://download1.graphhopper.com/ Resolving download1.graphhopper.com (download1.graphhopper.com)... 168.119.136.13 Caching download1.graphhopper.com => 168.119.136.13 Connecting to download1.graphhopper.com (download1.graphhopper.com)|168.119.136.13|:443... Closed fd 3 failed: Connection timed out. Releasing 0x000055bc0a5f44b0 (new refcount 1). Retrying.

The .wget-hsts file does not contain any entries for download1.graphhopper.com, so HSTS is not affecting access. The issue appears to be a connection timeout.

We have tried accessing the server from IPs in different countries, but the problem persists. Please check the status of the server and let us know what is causing the problem.

You can't reach the server because it's down. No ETA yet on a fix.
