PS4 Macro Running/Counting very very slowly
Hi. Komefai or anyone please please help. We have this same issue also, for me & some friends it works flawlessly & ALL the time, but for other friends it only rarely works properly. This issue has been posted in this forum many times already but no answer.
This problem of PS4 Macro Recording or Playing files sporadically & very slowly is extremely annoying & hard to work out what's going on. The numbers just hang or does very slow counting & the ONLY way to fix it is to keep closing PS4 Macro & Remote Play & trying again & again & again until it finally works for some reason, very random.
Please help. The ONLY time it runs perfectly all the time when this happens is to use it in Windows Safe Mode & we're trying to figure out why. It's a big clue but still don't know why it only works perfect for them in Windows Safe Mode. It's such a little simple awesome program, I want my friends also using it & not having to try something else. It works PERFECT all the time on my PC.
My friend has an IDENTICAL PC to mine, same exact motherboard, same CPU, same onboard audio, she even has Windows 10 Pro same build version! Powerful PC. ONLY difference is her video card is an Nvidia 6GB video card & mine is an Nvidia 8GB. Knowing as a clue it only works perfect in Windows Safe Mode, can you guys please give us some suggestions as to what is causing PS4 Macro to behave like this?? What could be interfering with PS4 Macro like this?
Thanx heaps, Ash.
Hey, i had the same bug. I fixed it with disabling AutoInject in Settings. Just create a file named settings.xml in the folder of the macro and paste this in:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
<Settings>
<AutoInject>false</AutoInject>
<BypassInjection>false</BypassInjection>
<EmulateController>false</EmulateController>
<ShowConsole>true</ShowConsole>
</Settings>

Hey thanks so much for replying, I'll be home soon & will definitely try this. I REALLY hope it works as my friend & I have exhausted all avenues. I'll for sure come back & let you know how it went.
Just really expected the problem to be an issue outside of PS4Macro. My friend & I have the EXACT same PC's with same Windows 10 Pro install & updates with the exact same PS4Macro setup too, only difference being our video cards which are still both Nvidia Geforce, only hers is 6GB 1060 & mine's 8GB 1080. Thanks for taking the time to reply xIceFox , appreciate it!
Ash.
Didn't work unfortunately. Thanks for the suggestion anyways. I think I've narrowed it down to something within the graphics/video drivers or settings. If I disable the Intel onboard graphics from device manager, I noticed it definitely always works faster than the usual unworkable state but still not counting fast enough. With Intel Graphics disabled it counts to roughly 150-250 in 5 seconds, whereas when it's fully working properly, it should get to 1300-1500 in 5 seconds, that's still a huge difference & way off.
It's definitely not an issue to do with Intel's Onboard Graphics not being able to handle Remote Play, as again, my friend has a Nvidia Geforce 6GB card & has the exact same issue as my laptop.
try to restart your computer, sounds silly but may solve the issue, or try to open Ps4 Macro when remote play displays the start screen/button.

Like seriously if you read my posts properly & had just a tiny bit of common sense you'd automatically realize that during my trials of trying to get it to working 100% of the time involved many PC restarts due to me trying in Safe Mode etc so yea man it was very silly. Do NOT ever work in IT lol. I've tried opening PS4Macro when remote play displays the start screen button but still no luck.
I've just been restarting Remote Play & PS4Macro until it works for now until I figure it out or get another laptop but that doesn't solve my friend's same problem.
Sorry for not giving enough attention, it's just this is how it worked for me and I thought it might do the same with you, I hope you find a real solution soon.
whish you the best.
i have same problem some times and what i do is:
open up remote play open up ps4macro start recording a macro (press record and press play) now connect to remote play
when you get to where you want in game then you stop the macro from recording and start whatever your doing for ps4macro
has worked for me every time and i used to spend some good time reloading ps4remote play / ps4macro countless times... hope it helps
AE97 thanks for trying to help, cheerz.
Smj2000 thanks too for your suggestion, even though I stopped using PS4Macro as I used it for Red Dead Redemption 2, now I only play Red Dead 2 on PC, but I still want to try your steps.
When you say "open up remote play" do u mean open it but don't connect to PS4 until your last step? I'll try tonight. Thanks AE97 & smj2000 for taking the time to try help, appreciate it. For PC I think I'll end up buying Titan Two.
& also please keep in mind that PS4Macro works FLAWLESSLY on my PC, just my old laptop I have the issue I mentioned already.
smj2000 I tried your steps, it ALWAYS counts up smoothly when I do as you said which is I run Remote Play (but not connect) & run PS4Macro & record but as soon as I actually connect with Remote Play it sometimes starts the slow counting, so it goes from fast to stuttery & slow. In saying that, your way definitely feels like it works more often than what I was doing but I need more time to confirm that because it could be a coincidence. I'll try some more & see what happens. When you had the same problem, was it on your PC or your laptop?? Also does your way on your PC/laptop ALWAYS work or just most of the time??
Cheerz smj2000.
Hey like i posted on some related issues: Connect a LAN cable from your PC to PS4 and setup a network bridge on your PC. This will make a direct connection between PS4 Remote Play and the PS4 and therefore highly improve the input accuracy.
I think the reason it works when running in safe mode is that your operating system is faster because it runs only important processes, that's why it doesn't miss the PS4 macro inputs.
Hi Morty2323. Thanks for your reply. My PC it works flawlessly, it's just my laptop that's the problem. I always use ethernet cables for my internet connections, & it's not the input accuracy that's the problem either.
When it does work on my laptop after closing & re-launching Remote Play & PS4 Macro a few times it works flawlessly just like my PC. & when it IS working the input accuracy is excellent. If I was still using PS4Macro I'd continue to try solve it, but I'm playing on PC now.
PS4Macro helped my friends & I HEAPS on PS4 & I'm very glad I came across it. But now it's time for Titan Two most likely for PC loops & macros, scripts etc.
Thanks all.

Lmao i tried everything, but the restart actually worked. Hahaha! Thank you 👍
@theShiZa dont know if you still use this program, but i might've found a fix for your issue.
Open Remote play and ps4macro. Then open task manager, go to details and find the services "EasyHook32Svc.exe" and "PS4Macro.exe". Right-click and set Priority to the highest value (high or real-time). This gives those two services the highest priorities on your computer, which should get rid of choppy counters.

I tried everything but this is the only thing that worked. Thanks for the steps.
I changed my monitor and fixed this problem.(My old monitor was connect by VGA)
It is still slow for me after I did the task manager priority and all, all I have next is LAN attachment to console, hopefully it works, but any other advice? I turned auto inject too, and opened macro before connecting, was counting fine but then went back to slow... both did not work... please reply soon...thanks!
After using it successfully and recording and playing a macro with no problem; I couldn't get it to work again. It would be extremely slow during playback and recording. I tried all the tips above, to no avail.
What did solve it, was to start the Steam client (which is configured to use my PS4 controller). I don't know what Steam does to the controller but after closing the Steam client and restarting PS Remote Play, the PS4Macro worked flawlessly.
Hope that helps someone.
It's got something to do with ps remote play not triggering hardware acceleration or something, that causes the ps4 macro to skips frames or something. Easiest way for me is to turn on amd control center -> video -> color screen and minimize that screen. Can also open VLC, or some flash sites on a browser. I prefer amd control center b/c that seems least impactful.
