Unexpected behaviour: unlink button enabled but does nothing on click

As soon as the curser is on a linked text, the unlink-button is enabled. But a click on unlink does nothing.

I need to select the text in order to unlink it with the unlink-button.

I would expect that 1: the button does not get enabled if the text is not selected or better.. 2: the button unlinks the text even if i don’t have the text selected.

Its been 2022 people and this issue was raised 2020. Is the owner of this plugin still alive?
