Related issue https://github.com/kokkos/kokkos-tutorials/issues/123 I think the slides from the old CI were incorrectly generated (template elements were missing).

I think we should use latexmk in the Makefile, as I sometimes need to run make twice for the slides to compile correctly. I can add it to this PR if needed.
