Launcher will not run without an internet connection

I tried to play Knockout City with some friends over LAN using this launcher. I had set up a local network that was not connected to the internet at all, and nobody was able to use the launcher.

When they tried connecting to the internet with a local hotspot the launcher opened fine and they were able to boot up the game after reconnecting to my local network.

Can you please fix this for LAN players?

Oh yeah, and this was an issue on both Windows and Linux.
