Assign icons to scripts

It would be really nice to be able to choose what icon is used for a script from within the app. I've found a workaround in that if you paste an icon onto the the script file, Service Station picks it up, but it would be nice if I could just choose one.

As you mentioned, you can currently change the icon for any Service Station menu item by changing the icon of the referenced app or script file.

  • Select the application file or script file in Finder.
  • Open the Info window for that file (File > Get Info, or CMDI)
  • Click the icon in that window (a blue border will appear).
  • Paste in a new icon.

This is the way to change icons in Service Station, for the time being.

Good suggestion to offer an in-app way to change the icons. I may try to add this in the future, but no plans or timeframe at this time.

Maybe a compromise of Service Station being able to paste the icon onto the app for you, rather than manage the custom icons itself, or at least just open Get Info for an item.

this still doesn't work for workflows

The developer has not been here for 2 years. Unlikely to get changed.
