Implementation-wise, this has to be a LongRunnable agent that keeps running as a persistent process instead of a short-lived agent that is periodically run.

:enable_starttls and :tls are mutually exclusive.

I suspect you have both SMTP_ENABLE_STARTTLS_AUTO and SMTP_SSL set to true. You should clarify which one you actually want by enabling only one of them.
