missing active window can leave energy saving activated

e.g. scroll in the python console autocompletion menu ('K' + ↓) and then press 3×Esc and move the cursor inside the vp.

there is no QApplication::activeWindow() at this point (idk if there’s supposed to be one)

Clicking into the vp doesn’t help, alt tabbing twice does as well as clicking any drop down menu or a link.
