Template style bleeds into replies

Description of the bug and steps to reproduce: Sending an email with an HTML template bleeds the style when the receiver replies. With most newsletters, if the original content is quoted in a reply or forward, the sender's input is formatted as plaintext or with the settings of the device. I used the "Default campaign template" here but it has the same issue with my completely custom one. Wondering if the separation has to do with the template structure or the way it's encoded in the email?
