Audio Stuff: Split at Transients / Bounce selected Audio Parts to Sampler etc..

Hey there.

As we now can split and move audio parts in the Sequence Editor, which is at least some rudimentary Audio Editing capability:

What would help here would be the capability to move things around between sampler and audio tracks. For example to cut up/clean up a drum loop and move it back into the sampler. (Is there a feasible workaround for this by the way?)

In general, it would also be quite good if a transient detection algorithm could be implemented. So that the cutting doesn't necessarily have to be made manually.

Also, there could be an option to bounce/render the selected parts to a whole new audiofile. (and maybe put it into a sample-player automatically?) Or maybe "export selected Audio at Loop Boundaries" So that we get a clean exact xy-bar long audio file from splitted audio.

Do you have a suggestion for a user interface? For instance a "Load audio file into sample instrument" popup men option.

But how about using the recording capability of the sampler? (like in this video: https://vimeo.com/321847152) I imagine that could be a convenient way to get exactly what you want into the sample instrument.

You mean a "Sequencer range" option in the "Export soundfile(s)" window?

I know. However, I consider this a workaround, because of the setup time and pre-configuration needed. Not really a one-stop a convenient solution. Selecting a time range / audio parts and just click a menu item is way more convenient. To do this right now multiple steps are needed. This solution would just need a selection and one single click.

(Also, this probably should work both ways: When I have a sample loaded in the sample player and I want to edit it because something doesn't sit right, it would be cool to "add sample to Audio SeqTrack" to do your editing, cutting silence whatever and then bounce it right back to the s_ample player. (At least until edit in external is available, but even if so, this might still be a good way to quickly edit a sample.))

You mean a "Sequencer range" option in the "Export soundfile(s)" window? Would be a small step in the right direction as well. I was thinkinh about a right click menu item in the SeqTrack Header itself, but a Seqencer Range export and solo enabled on the seqtrack combined would at least eliminate some steps in between already. Not great but feasible.

To add to this: I think a transient detection algorithm and a dedicated "split at transients" option is generally the more important thing here.
