2.4: Don't put the "Size" button in the passage text editor when it belongs in the Delete/Edit/Test menu

This feels like a huge UI blunder to me. The passage text editor's area of concern is the content of the passage as it relates to the player. The size of the passage in the story map is how the passage relates to the author, which is entirely different. It's in the same area as the passage's placement on the story map. No one is going to think of moving a passage through the story map as "editing the passage" (even though pedantically the passage's position is part of its data model) and neither should they think of changing its size as "editing" it, either.

I don't agree with your line of reasoning, personally. We edit tags in the passage editor and those aren't visible to the player.

I think the stronger argument is that it's a hassle to open the passage editor just to adjust the size of the passage in the map.

There's a tension with having the toolbar being relatively permanent. It makes acting on multiple passages at once possible. But if the toolbar is permanent, the amount of screen space it takes up is a lot more important because it obscures other passages in the map. I don't think I've found the completely right approach yet.

Having now used 2.4 for live work for a few days, I would agree that having the passage sizing option in the passage editor is less convenient than the 2.3 method.

Changing passage size is something I do while looking at the passage map. Before, I had only to right-click on a passage to change the size, something that was pretty convenient. Now I must double-click the passage to edit it, scroll the passage map to get the passage surroundings into view, and then resize from the passage, move the passage around, and finally close the editor.

I'd favour having the passage sizes on the passage map toolbar. It could replace the "Start Story Here" option, if space is a premium.
