Let us pick the story's color in the story library

The only way to choose a story color right now, afaik, is to duplicate a story over and over until you get the color you want.

Describe the solution you'd like.

Could you make a selection option for this? Just a color picker, like story tags already have, but for the story's displayed color.

Describe alternatives you've considered.

Having separate options for background and passage colors would be even better. Or maybe let us set the story color to match the story tag color? You could just have any tag named "color", set the story color to its color.

Could you talk about why you'd like this feature? Is it to help group related stories together, or just aesthetic reasons?

The color right now is based on the story's name.

Aesthetic reasons mostly. And because stories of the same type or genre could be grouped together as the same color. Making them easier to distinguish at a glance.

OK, got it. I would say that tags are the way to group stories in general, but wanting to tweak colors isn't an unreasonable request.
