Spell check available?

Open kpolsen opened this issue 6 years ago • 7 comments

Is there an option to switch on spell checking? My tusk on Linux Ubuntu 18.04 Budgie is not highlighting miss-spellings.

Thanks!

I've got the same issue with macOS 10.13.6

Help, my spelling sucks.

It looks like the browser typically provides the spell check for web apps, but electron apps don't get this benefit. Perhaps something like https://github.com/electron-userland/electron-spellchecker would help?

@klaussinani does the pull request above change the context menu so that we can access the spellcheck features?

https://www.electronjs.org/docs/tutorial/spellchecker

Using Tusk Linux, the spelling mistakes show, but there is no way of getting access to it with the context menu - i.e. to add a word to the dictionary, changing the language, or see suggestions...
