Startup time

Hi,

I'm a newcomer to Emacs and I like your starting kit, it makes the setup very easy. However, it needs about 5sec to start up on my Mac. That's not an issue when writing long documents, but it makes Emacs unfit for the usage in the terminal (eg. for configuration file changes etc.)

Is there some way to speed it up?
