H.264 Support in KMS on windows

Open petergerten opened this issue 9 years ago • 12 comments

On Linux I need openh264-gst-plugins-bad-1.5 to enable H.264 support in KMS. Any chance to get that into the Windows build? That would be great!

Is the source code (I assume there are mods?) / build scripts available? Then I would give it a try myself to include it.

As much as I love this windows build and your efforts. It is worthless for me without the openh264 plugins. Any chance that we get access to the source/build scripts to help on that?

Hello again, sorry for long delay - I didn't notice this issue. Sure I can send you instructions how to build it from source. Please give me your e-mail or Skype ID.

Any update?

It would be very appreciated. I spend a lot time searching and you seem to be the only one who ever got KMS compiled/ported to windows.

Hello again. I was very busy with my current project and now I am traveling somewhere in southeastern Asia. I think I will return to Europe be available after March 10-15.

Any chance to integrate h.264 support in your binaries?

petergerten avatar Jun 12 '17 10:06 petergerten

Sure, are you able to build from scratch?

kirushyk avatar Jun 12 '17 22:06 kirushyk

Trying it now according to your manual...

petergerten avatar Jun 13 '17 05:06 petergerten

ok, I was able to build it according to your info - everything worked except:

cp: cannot stat '/usr/i686-w64-mingw32/sys-root/mingw/bin/libkmschromaimpl.dll': No such file or directory
cp: cannot stat '/usr/i686-w64-mingw32/sys-root/mingw/lib/gstreamer-1.5/libchroma.dll': No such file or directory
cp: cannot stat '/usr/i686-w64-mingw32/sys-root/mingw/lib/kurento/modules/libkmschromamodule.dll': No such file or directory

It seems my biggest problem to get h.264 support is that I don't know what exactly I need. I guess otherwise it will be built similar to all the other stuff.
