Open PopuriAO29 opened this issue 1 year ago • 1 comments

Describe the bug When you launch Legacy Update while during checking updates, the progress bar doesn't show.

Virtual PC 2024-01-08 12-59-35-31

Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Click Start on the taskbar.
  2. Point to All Programs, and Click Legacy Update at the top. (If you are using classic start menu, just click it on the top one).
  3. While during check updates, See the Progress Bar that isn't shown.

Expected behavior The Progress bar should appear while during checking update.

Environment and others (please complete the following information):

  • Legacy Update version: 1.6.2
  • Host OS: Windows 7 Ultimate SP1 32-bit
  • Guest OS (in Virtual PC 2007): Windows Fundamentals for Legacy PCs SP2.

Additional context The Guest OS runs on Windows XP, although it is Embedded version under name Windows FLP. I haven't tested for latest version for some reason. And ofc, It is Internet Explorer 6, I didn't even update IE7/IE8 yet.

Have you checked that no similar bug report(s) exist?

This was somewhat intentional, I added an ActiveX progress bar in 1.8 so it would match your UI theme, and I switched the site over to it a few days ago because I figured enough time has passed that most users should have updated. That said, I probably can make it fall back to the progress bar gif if the control fails to load.
