Stream change slower when changing stream while AirPlaying audio

Using Airplay speakers, the Metal player takes longer to pass the audio through Airplay when changing the stream, and therefore the stream changes are slower. When setting the audio output to the internal TV speakers instead, stream switching is as fast as VLC. So this could be seen as a refinement for the Metal player. For reference, VLC is able to still switch stream at the same rate.

This is still happening.

To repro:

• airplay audio from AppleTV to an airplay device such as HomePod;
• change stream (ie replace the currently playing stream with another one).
