In the past six months, changes in my work have significantly reduced the amount of time I can dedicate to WindTerm It has become increasingly difficult to maintain it, and therefore I have made the difficult decision to discontinue the project.
To uphold the prestige of green software, all previously downloaded WindTerm will automatically delete itself and be sent to the recycle bin at 23:59 on April 1st. This is to prevent any unnecessary waste of your valuable disk space. Please ensure that your computer is turned on at that time. Thank you very much for your cooperation and support.
Okay, the above is just a joke for today :smile:. However, the changes in my work have indeed affected the time I have available for maintaining WindTerm. Unless one day I am willing to fully dedicate myself to full-time development and commercialization of WindTerm, the development timeline may only be one-fifth of what it was before. After all, this is a personal project, and I still need to earn a living to support myself and my family.
While WindTerm has had a promising start, it is far from being the best terminal in the world. There are still over 700 innovative features waiting to be completed, so rest assured that this is my dream and WindTerm will not be easily abandoned. Despite the slow progress, new features are still being developed. A new version WindTerm_2.6.0_Prerelase_2 is soon to be released in the coming days, which will introduce a range of superb new features, including OneKey, Text Mark, Triggers, and much more. Please feel free to download and use it once it's released.
Due to a large backlog of issues and discussions, it will take me some time to respond. I assure you that every issue and discussion will be addressed, and I kindly ask for your patience and understanding. Thank you.

Wow, I was really startled. I received an email about an issue, and its subject made my spine chill. I quickly logged into GitHub to check the issue, only to realize that it was an April Fool's Day prank.
Sorry for my long absence due to various reasons. Also, the version WindTerm_2.6.0_Prerelease_2 which has been under development for six months and was scheduled to be released today cannot be released yet as there are still bugs that need to be fixed.
Therefore, I can only release a joke for now. :smiley:
Haha, good one. But jokes aside, to be honest in my devops career i havent found any better tool for ssh than this despite some imperfections that it might have, i still use WindTerm over the others. Glad to have you here, you have done excelent work on this, looking forward to new releases.

I hope Mac OS(Apple silicon) can also use this software.Because I have switched from Windows to Mac OS(Apple silicon). I really like this software.I havent found any better tool for ssh than this despite some imperfections that it might have.
winterm is the fastest terminal I ever see! Don't rush to put so many feature in it , It's more important to fix bug and improve compatability! It still can not ssh to aix version of openssh !
