Invalid keyboard mapping

Hi, When I want to delete the input, it is unable to backspace but "delete" can do this. I try do key mapping for this feature (session setting -> Terminal -> keyboard ->backspace sends -> Delete) , but it not work for me. I’m looking forward to your reply.
