I used `--force` in my initial command line , I should have posted it: mediaconch --force -fx testplz.mkv

It completed and it created the mediaconch xml in that metadata folder. Normally I would have ceased, but I'd seen an issue where some validations couldn't take that long so...

I'm experiencing this as well with FFV1.MKV files - except it says 'In Queue', using the daily snapshot on El capitan. I haven't tried to replicate on other operating systems....
I think this could be possible now that we can create rules based on Mediatrace. I'd like to know the answer to this as well, as I couldn't find any...
