I think this is a good idea, but I don't have a Trunas server or any experience in the ecosystem. If it's anything like Unraid, I'd appreciate help from any community member who wants to set up an app manifest (or whatever the Trunas process is)!

If you're running on scale, the manual install is super easy and docker backend still notifies you when an update is pushed to docker hub. Been running a couple of months this way myself and it works a charm

Hi there! I stumbled upon this because I also use TrueNAS Scale. Corban, how did you get it to install manually and work? This is the first time I have tried to run an image manually, so maybe I'm doing it incorrectly?
