UI breakage when stdout/stderr contains long lines

My app generates single-line json logs (via bunyan). If I get couple of these lines to the debugger console, the debugging control buttons become aligned incorrectly. Attaching a screenshot.

I am using the atom-material-ui and atom-material-syntax themes. However, I am observing the same thing also with Atom's default theme.

I also tried enlarging the right pane more to the left (before the logs appear) to provide more room, but, it always gets squeezed to the right and after that I can no longer enlarge the right pane until I clear the logs.

With me it is the same situation, and worse, the controls disappear. The panel stdout crushes the panel side, fading with everything.
