Extract URLs into clickable links apart from the message
Before you start.
- [ x] I have checked the Rejected Features page.
- [x ] I have searched the issue tracker for a feature request that matches the one I want to file, without success.
My great idea for Fraidycat is:
Extract clear, well-formed URLs from imported messages and present them as separate clickable links.
Example:
"Extraordinary discovery in #Pompeii - an intact 'street food' shop with "food in the pots". https://t.co/kF1NVJOl60 #RomanArchaeology #Archaeology #Archeologia #ArcheologiaRomana https://t.co/SDmrl02icp"
I would be nice to see the content of this message followed by a list of clickable URLs like: https://t.co/kF1NVJOl60 | https://t.co/SDmrl02icp
The reason I am using Fraidycat is so that I do not need to log into Twitter (or whatever social media) just to click on the link in the body of the post. Currently, the entire message links back to the original post, which is fine. However, most of the time, I just want to follow the links posted in the messages.
Thanks.
Yes - this will be fixed as a part of #30. Unfortunately I have had to postpone finishing this feature due to a collaboration I am working on right now. But this feature is VERY important to me - I hope to return to it in two months.
