An option to disable auto-update

It would be awesome to have an option to disable auto-update on the desktop app. In its place, a notification with the link to the new release would be nice.

That's strange. Auto-update shouldn't be enabled. It should do what you say - give you a link at the top, notifying you of a new release, which you can update manually.

Are you on Windows?

Oops sorry should've mentioned OS like in the other issue, yes I'm on Linux.
