jest mocks too much by default in its timers. try mocking out just the parts you really need, that should help (jest timer mocking supports granular configuration). had same issue...

This sounds like a code readability and debugging nightmare. Current version provides much clearer picture of what is actually happening.

Issue is old and slipped through the cracks as there wasn't any activity around it. We'll take a look at it, thank you for the ping.

I would be open to co-maintaing the library. @Stuk - would you be open to that?
