Incorrect information on how to proceed with the Pom.xml file to incremental build (Failing)

The documentation is not helping to build successfully the project using your plugin.

getting below error:

First why not improving the documentation accordingly apart from that aren't the error messages not clear enough?

Which is tru bcz the error logs itself are not that understandable and if some one follows the docs to seyp the plugin this will confuse them for sure. I had moved to another plugin and its working now.
