Some applications stubbornly refuse to be resized

I started using Smart Auto Move on Fedora 41 because on Hi-DPI displays and on Wayland specifically there's this issue that some windows would default into a flat rectangle centered on the screen instead of remembering their true original positions as they do on non-hi-DPI displays. So essentially it's a workaround for me. However, Firefox is notably stubborn in this regard. Regardless what parameters I try to set in the extension, it may or may not work and my application list in the extension is littered with Firefox entries crossed out. Sometimes it works when I close all Firefox windows and open them again, sometimes it doesn't, sometimes private windows don't get properly resized when non-private do. Is there a way to make it work? I could even agree to a fixed vertical rectangle state (where Smart Auto Move doesn't try to remember the window size and position and instead sets it to a fixed manually specified size upon every new window of Firefox that gets open).

Drilling further down reveals that often when a Firefox window is open, no uncrossed Firefox entry may appear in the "Saved Windows" pane half of the time. It's really unpredictable. So for Smart Auto Move there's no active Firefox window to resize hence it does nothing.

this may be a similar root cause to https://github.com/khimaros/smart-auto-move/issues/43
