Direct extension access with icon on Gnome top bar and feature explanation
Hi,
This is more a request for explanation than an issue per se. I am discovering your extension which seems very feature rich.
-
Could you implement a direct access with an icon on Gnome top bar ? To manage the settings or use the extension I need either to browse through Firefox > Gnome Installed Extensions => Settings or I need to use the Gnome Extensions App
-
I do not quite understand what you mean in Readme.me : "restores windows to the previous position, size, and workspace on restart". Using Gnome 46 (Wayland):
- Can it be used after an unfortunate logout to restore the windows and apps ?
- Is it to be used after a reboot only ?
- What are the differences in use cases between your extension and @nlpsuge's another-window-session-manager you mentionned in #5 and #17
Thanks !
it will not start the apps for you, but once they are started, it will move them to where they were previously.

Thank you @khimaros for your answer.
I shall try my aforementioned use-cases and try to provide feedback.
Could you please explain if your extension can be used after:
-
an unfortunate logout to restore the windows and apps ? (for example on a Live system)
-
or only to be used after a reboot ? (for example on an installed system)
I also shall try to find a way to propose a direct access button on the Gnome top bar, if you would agree to discuss such an enhancement ? .
('ll have to look if an extension I remember from way back, I think Argos, might be of use: I have almost no coding skill)
Cheers
