How the extension search the serial port

Open yckelvin opened this issue 7 years ago • 1 comments

Dear Sir/Madam,

My configuration is macOS Sierra version 10.12.5, Chrome Version 61.0.3163.100 (Official Build) (64-bit), Scratch Device Plugin Helper installed, serial port is used by Arduino IDE at cu.usbmodem1421.

I launch the ScratchX.org with http://scratchx.org/?url=http://khanning.github.io/scratch-arduino-extension/arduino_extension.js, in console, it keeps searching the tty.usbmodem1421, I have 318 ports under /dev, may I know how the extension search the port? Does it try to connect the 318 ports one by one, I keep waiting for the connection but doesn't work. Refer to the screen capture, it stops searching.

Is it possible to hardcode the port to cu.usbmodem1421?

Best regards,

Kelvin.

Dear Sir/Madam,

May I know whether the Scratch Arduino Extension is stopped to support for Chrome with Version 61.0.3163.100 on macOS? I research over one month and still could not able to find the solution to enable the Arduino on Scratch.

Best regards,

Kelvin.
