Extension does not install

Hi, I have tried installing the extension from the downloaded file and the URL. Either way I see the red icon with the message "Missing Browser Plug In".

Mac OSX 10.9.5, Firefox 54.0.1 64-bit.

The "Tip" window does not show up.
