Label template empty until opening archetype

We have a setup with nested archetypes we just updated from v1.11.1 to v1.18 and now we're having som problems with the label template.

I have attached two screenshots below. One before I open the nested archetype, where there's no label. And one after, where the label has been generated. My guess is that the picker we are using hasn't been loaded yet, and therefore cannot deliver a text to the label.

What does your label template look like? And what sort of picker is that (e.g., content picker, multi node tree picker)?

My label template looks like this: {{hotel}}

The property it points to is an old (Obsolete) Multinode Treepicker. I cannot change it to a new one or my data will be lost.
