Yeah, that looks about right. Guessing there is some code to make a RoleBinding pointing at it somewhere as well.

Where did you do the benchmark? Running the tar within the container at /var/lib/hyper with the passed through volume will perform vastly differently then in the rest of the container...
This is similar to the issue I raised, but slightly different. The idea being that a simple ha setup should be possible without need of an advanced orchestrator and failure...
I had the same problem. upping the memory limit resolved it. 1G wasn't enough. 2 was. so somewhere in between.
