Unable to Start New Chat

I am unable to start new chats with people on Keybase. If I have not previously chatted with them, I can search for the user (or select them from a team we are both on), but when trying to start a new direct chat, it stays on "loading" and then eventually gives the error: "There was an error creating the conversation. DB error"

Chats with anyone who I have chatted with before seem to work without issue.
