Keybase "We're having a hard time loading this page" error on most pages

Open RayOei opened this issue 1 year ago • 4 comments

Keybase version 6.2.4-20231019211625+5cfcf6b41e MacOs 14.3.1 Sonoma

All failing options "People/Teams/Git/Devices/Settings" show the same error: "We're having a hard time loading this page". Sending error report is also broken (#26165) so it is impossible to provide anymore information. This may the core reason no communication seems to be happening...?

In short: NOTHING works anymore!!!

You need to manually update to 6.2.5 or greater. 6.2.4 is utterly broken when trying to connect to its backend, which includes serrvices & updating.

I'm desperate to have it fixed that as well. Is 6.2.5 available for linux?

Also:

$ curl https://api-0.core.keybaseapi.com
curl: (60) SSL certificate problem: unable to get local issuer certificate
More details here: https://curl.se/docs/sslcerts.html

curl failed to verify the legitimacy of the server and therefore could not
establish a secure connection to it. To learn more about this situation and
how to fix it, please visit the web page mentioned above.

Can you provide this CA?

@gonzalob Thanks... I found out in the mean time... chicken and egg type of situation, I guess. Reinstalling/updating solved the issue. It would have been helpful if Keybase would have issued an announcement or something on their site, at least. I think, unfortunately, KB has become too brittle as a solution to count on. As it wasn't the first time KB broke on MacOS after an update. I didn't think much of it at the beginning ("yah.. broken.., again"), until I really needed access to my local store... Start looking for alternative, I guess.
