Attaching existing photos to chat on Android is broken

I used to be able to do this just fine.

I can still take photos and attach directly

But I can't attach existing images.

a workaround is after choosing "photo from library", to then click "browse" and then select the photo from there.

Agree though, it was working, and the workaround is tedious.
