Keybase add itself as a background item that can run in the background every time it start

Every time I start the app, I get a macOS popup that says "Background Items Added" and "Software from "Keybase, Inc." added items that can run in the background. You can manage this in Login Items Settings.". When I check the Login Items in System Settings, it's there, and allowed. I do not remove it from there after, so not sure why at every start it has to do that. I assume the check you do to see if it's in the login items doesn't work.

Also have to deal with this annoyance... gives a kind of vibe that makes me consider a reformat without reinstalling said software.

This is indeed very annoying and it has been going on for a while, I also am close to kicking out Keybase for this reason so I would love to see that fixed quickly.

I've been running into the same issue with Keybase for over a year. It started for me on an Intel-based iMac running Ventura, continued after upgrading that machine to Sonoma, and has followed me to a new Apple Silicon Mac Studio (also running macOS Sonoma). With every single reboot, I get the "Background Items Added" alert regarding "Software from Keybase, Inc," even though it's already listed as an allowed item in Log-In Settings.

It is not an issue for me anymore on macOS (Sonoma) 14.1.1 build 23B81 with Keybase Version 6.2.1.

I'll keep the issue open since I wasn't the only one with this problem.
