Error Code 1601 - API network error

I get this error when i open the Keybase Desktop on my computer. Ihave tried to restart both the app and the computer, to no avail. 2018-10-02 u error when starting keybase desktop

Anyone find a fix yet? I can't send messages from keybase. This is discouraging.

I was also having this error code whenever i opened keybase desktop, i dont know the correct way to solve this , but the "brute force" solution for me was to uninstall keybase, delete both its data folders from C:\Users\YOUR_USER\AppData\Local\Keybase and C:\Users\YOUR_USER\AppData\Roaming\Keybase, then i reinstalled it and it worked just fine

Reinstalled the client and received the message attached. The client cannot auto-update itself because of the certificate changes made at Keybase side so its a must to download the new version and install manually - image

It fixed the issue.
