Compatibility issues with TB 136.0

Open teemukissa opened this issue 9 months ago • 5 comments

The extension (v128.0.0) seems to be disabled in TB 136.0 due to compatibility issues.

I'm working on it :) It will be a little harder to keep up with the new monthly releases.

gdata-provider-128.0.9.zip

Let me know if it works!

Tested gdata-provider-128.0.9.zip, and it works without any problems for me. Thanks for the quick fix! :)

My experience was different. Although I added an event to my gmail calendar in Thunderbird, it did not appear on the Google Calendar on my phone, or on the Google Calendar that I viewed with my browser.

Update: Now a subsequent test DID WORK for me. So I'm confused, but happy that it does seem to work for me.

Thanks @kewisch . gdata-provider-128.0.9.zip fixed the TB 136.0 issue for me as well. By the way, thanks for your work. It is only when you have been missing the GData Provider for a few days that you realize that life with TB is a little bit less smooth without it. ;-)

It works. Old Calenders are working again; I could add a new calender. My Sign-in to Google Account was successful

Works like a charm, again. Thanks! (If Thunderbird didn't hide so well the possibility to use a downloaded add-on, I'd have tested it earlier).

It may seem silly, but how do I install this patch on 136.0? I already downloaded it

To make matters worse, version 136 modifies the user profile in an unreversable way requiring a full recovery or rebuild of your profile if you want to move back to 135 or earlier.

@nonilevinson After downloading the .zip file, change it extension to .xpi, and follow the instructions here: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/installing-addon-thunderbird

@Rmano tks a lot. So easy!!!

@nonilevinson After downloading the .zip file, change it extension to .xpi, and follow the instructions here: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/installing-addon-thunderbird

No need to unzip it. Just let install it from the file in Thunderbird

@Horst12 tks!!!! @Rmano teach me that, and I already installed it :-) It's working fine!

128.5.0 is in review on addons.thunderbird.net, see also the releases page. Marking this one complete. Thanks for testing, glad it works! If you want to see what is up next, please find the beta that is a substantial rewrite on https://kewisch.github.io/gdata-provider/beta.html
