Extension Not Working!

Open apark9175 opened this issue 4 years ago • 5 comments

In Gmail on 2021-07-16. Just noticed that the extension does not appear to be working even after repeatedly disabling and re-enabling the extension and reloading the page.

There was a workaround - to put chat on the right side. Unfortunately now even this workaround is not working

The new Gmail with Chat and Rooms broke the gorgeous Quicklinks set up... :(

EDT: deactvating Chat in Setting solves the problem!! :)

Can confirm, the new Gmail Chat layout broke the extension's visibility, but turning off chat brought it back:

  1. Click Settings
  2. Click "See all settings"
  3. Select "Chat and Meet" tab
  4. Select "Chat: Off"
  5. Click "Save Changes"

Yes, it works when you disable both: Chat -> Off and Meet -> Hide the meet...

I went little further and it seems that it works also if you set: Chat -> Classic Hangout

It also seems to work by moving the Chat position to the right.

Chat -> Google Chat Chat position -> Right side of the inbox
