Initially two door sensors (of 4) stopped responding. They wouldn't reset and add back. To troubleshoot I decided to remove custom component and attempted to reinstall the custom component via HACS and manually. The integration will not start now. Scan/remove services not available. All other sensors (4 motion, 2 remaining door sensors) functioning appropriately.

I am experiencing something very similar. Although I have about 20 sensors, contact and motion. I did similar troubleshooting as you. I had one contact battery die on me. It wasn't working, then I removed via wyzesense.remove and re-added. The re-added sensor did not show up with a mac id in the name.

Hoping the dev can give us some help soon! Is there anyway to do a full wipe and restart of the wyzesense entities/config?

Hey mcom85, I just wanted to let you know that I resolved issues similar to yours. My sensors would come back after detecting motion or 'opening', but still received the same errors in log. I resolved the issue by resetting the usb hub by holding the button on front until light turns orange. This will require re-pairing all your sensors, but HA will remember the custom names since MAC address doesnt change. When re-pairing I had one sensor come up without a mac address again, binary_sensor.wyzesense. This sensor was previously DOA and after swapping a battery, did not fix itself. This was causing the issues. Now all 19 sensors (17 contact, 2 motion) work flawlessly again.

I`m seeing something very similar. one of my contact sensors paired w/o MAC just binary_sensor.wyzesense_2 , now when I run SCAN it gives me "Failed to call service wyzesense/scan. Service not found." tried to remove and reinstall the component but no help. Also half of my sensors will dissapeer from entities and then will show up when contact or motion triggers .

Vendo232, you’ll need to hold down the button on the hub for about 10 seconds until the light turns orange. Restart home assistant and paid all but the failed sensor. Looks like you might have two bad ones. You could try experimenting with the sensor by holding the pin button until it resets it self? Not sure, but I haven’t found a fix for the broken sensor/lost MAC. It arrived with dead battery, then lost its MAC. I actually had wyze replace it and they sent a whole pack of 4.
