there are lots of things we just arent pedantic about... some of these we could do, but at the annoyance of added complication. some of them we purposely let up to the application for flexibility's sake..

here's a small start of a list, there are many more to cross off.. we should start a branch and slowly chip these off. its important that we merge master to this branch frequently..

  • http 1.1 clients who dont specify Host: header should get 400s
  • no Date: header is returned
  • no cache headers at all..
